Accessibility

Last updated: 27 July 2026

FINSIMCO LTD (“Finsimco”) is committed to supporting accessibility across our website, platform and simulations. This statement explains our approach, our conformance status, known limitations and the support available, and how to give feedback.

1. Status of this statement

This statement is provided for information and is published voluntarily. It describes our approach and current status in good faith. It does not form part of any contract, and it does not create warranties, representations or rights beyond those set out in our Simulation Policy and Terms of Use. We may update this statement at any time as our products develop.

2. Our approach

Finsimco simulations are deliberately live, interactive, visually rich and time-pressured - that realism is the purpose of the product. We design for accessibility within that format: accessibility is taken into account in the design and development of our simulations and platform, we assess our products against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) through structured self-evaluation repeated as the product evolves, and we act on accessibility feedback from participants, universities and corporate clients. Accessibility improvements are prioritised within our ongoing product development.

3. Conformance status

Finsimco’s simulations are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. Some of the known limitations in section 7 reference criteria introduced in WCAG 2.2, which we also monitor.

Given the live, interactive and time-pressured nature of our simulations, full conformance with every criterion is not always compatible with the format. Where a criterion is not met, the reasonable-adjustments process in section 4 is the route to individual support.

4. Reasonable adjustments and advance notice

If you need a reasonable adjustment or accessibility support, you should contact Finsimco, your university, your employer or the relevant programme organiser as early as possible before the simulation.

We will consider reasonable requests in good faith, but not every requested change may be possible or compatible with the purpose, format, timing or integrity of the simulation. Adjustments are handled as described in our Simulation Policy.

Because most simulations are live, scheduled events, adjustments need lead time to arrange. Requests made shortly before or during an event may not be possible to accommodate for that event.

Where you participate through a university, employer or other organisation, that organisation is responsible for telling us about adjustment needs among its participants in good time and for supporting the arrangements on its side.

5. Compatibility and technical requirements

Our simulations work in all main modern web browsers and are built with standard web technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript), which assistive technologies and browser plugins rely on.

The simulations are designed for use on a laptop, desktop computer or tablet. Access from a mobile phone is possible but not recommended: some content may not display at a readable size or may be difficult to navigate on a small screen. Participants are responsible for using a suitable device and setup, as described in our Simulation Policy.

6. Third-party and client-supplied content

Our simulations and website may use or link to third-party tools and content - for example, video hosting, conferencing tools or external websites. Third-party services are governed by their own accessibility practices, and we are not responsible for their conformance. If a third-party element creates a barrier for you, contact us and we will look for a workable alternative.

Where a simulation is customised for a client, or includes materials supplied by a university, employer or corporate client, the accessibility of that supplied or commissioned content may vary, and the client shares responsibility for materials it provides or specifies.

7. Known limitations and available support

The limitations below are known and are managed through the adjustments process in section 4. If any of them may affect your participation, contact us - or your university, employer or programme organiser - before your simulation, and we will discuss the support available, such as descriptions of key visuals, transcripts or alternative materials. During a live session, you can also raise an issue directly with the facilitator.

•      Visual content. Our simulations use graphs, charts and other visuals as core teaching and assessment material. Not all visuals include full alternative text for screen readers.

•      Video captions. Some pre-recorded videos include captions and others do not.

•      Audio description. Some videos convey information visually without a separate audio description.

•      Keyboard access. Our simulations are interactive by design, and some interactions are optimised for mouse or trackpad use rather than keyboard-only navigation.

•      Pointer behaviour. Some interactive elements activate on the initial press rather than on release.

•      Error messages. Some error states are indicated visually, for example with colour or icons, rather than with text explanations.

•      Text in images. Some screens present text within graphics for design reasons, which screen readers cannot read.

•      Focus visibility. In some layouts, the keyboard focus indicator may be partially obscured by overlays or fixed elements (a WCAG 2.2 criterion).

8. Feedback, contact and alternative formats

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website, platform and simulations. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us:

9. Assessment and approval

Finsimco assesses the accessibility of its simulations through structured self-evaluation against WCAG criteria, repeated as the product evolves.
